Issaquah, Washington State   Position Start Date
March 2012

Position Description
The Trails Project Coordinator is a full-time, permanent position with the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust's Land Stewardship Program. This regionally acclaimed program plays an integral role in coordinating trail construction and maintenance projects to enhance the 1,000-mile wildland trail network on the 800,000 acres of public land in the Mountains to Sound Greenway outside of Seattle, Washington. The program coordinates trail crews, contractors and extensive community involvement in these on-the-ground efforts.

The Trails Project Coordinator will assist in developing and implementing multiple trail construction projects and an expanding trail maintenance program, which is integrated with federal, state and local agencies who manage these public lands. In addition to on the ground work, this position will play an integral role in the "trail experience" throughout the landscape; developing a voice for the trail system.

The right candidate will be an experienced trail hand who is detail oriented, quality and efficiency driven and is able to work both independently and in a leadership role with trail crews, volunteers and contractors. The Trails Project Coordinator position offers the potential for extensive professional growth and exposure in managing a large multi-use trail network across a multi-jurisdictional landscape.
