My client has an immediate requirement for an air quality scientist to join their air quality team which is their largest and most established Environment group. The main focus of work will be undertaking air quality impact assessments for a wide variety of projects, including major highways schemes, airports and industrial developments, both in the UK and abroad. In addition, the provision of support to other areas of the Environment group's work, including EIA, would be expected.
You will have a minimum of a first degree in an atmospheric science or closely related subject, preferably a second degree, and regulatory or consultancy experience. Practical experience in undertaking ambient air quality assessments using modelling or monitoring techniques is essential. It is also expected that the you will be or be working towards becoming a full member of IAQM or other appropriate professional body. Knowledge of using DMRB and ADMS-Road models is also an advantage. Excellent written English and communication skills and a full UK driving license are essential.
