EDZ – Environmental Consulting, Lda. is seeking a qualified candidate with a background in Earth Sciences or Environmental Engineering to work primarily in the area of contaminated land assessment and remediation and environmental auditing.
Proficiency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken, is essential. Professional experience in the above areas is preferred but not a prerequisite. A valid Portuguese driver´s license is required. Please provide a resumé in English, with a maximum length of 3 pages, along with a cover letter (in English or Portuguese) demonstrating interest in the position being offered.
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following:
- Academic and professional background in Contaminated Land and/or Environmental Management Systems (preferably both);
Knowledge of field methods for soil and groundwater sampling and environmental auditing.
Data management, interpretation and presentation skills, namely Geographic Information Systems, environmental modeling (including geostatistics) and WORD/EXCEL/PowerPoint; and,
Written communication skills.
